instantTech lands in Italy: what it means for the sector
First international market with the same platform, the same service standard and a certified local network from day one.

Why Italy
Italy has the conditions that make an installation operation hard — and valuable: a fast-growing vehicle fleet, a highly fragmented installer base and customers used to long lead times. It’s a market where coordination adds more value than the product.
It also shares with Spain a shared-garage pattern that shapes the whole installation: long distances between the meter panel and the parking space, and a homeowners’ association in the middle. That similarity let us reuse the model without redesigning it.
What gets replicated and what gets adapted
The whole platform gets replicated: fixed-price calculator, assignment by zone, partner dashboard and SLA tracking. So does the service standard: 72 hours on average, a fixed price before signing and legalisation included.
What gets adapted is what is local by definition: legalisation rules, network training, the equipment catalogue and distance bands tuned to local garage layouts. None of that can be imported as-is, and pretending otherwise is the fastest way to break the lead-time promise.
The network before the announcement
We started by certifying local installers months before opening commercially. The sequence matters: if you sell first and then look for someone to install, the first month of operation turns into a list of apologies.
Once coverage was complete, the launch was almost anticlimactic. The first orders came in with the same lead times as in Spain, which was exactly the point.
What changes for brands
For a manufacturer, a dealership or a retailer already working with us in Spain, Italy stops being a project: it’s activating a market in the same dashboard, with the same service agreement and without building a local operation.
That’s the difference between exporting product and exporting delivery. The platform is already available across Europe and LATAM; what rolls out country by country is the network that does the work.
Next markets
Portugal and France are in preparation with the same method: certification first, local regulation resolved and price bands calibrated before accepting the first order.
We don’t open countries to appear on a map. We open when we can hold the lead time and the price we promise everywhere else in the network.
«Opening a country isn’t translating a website: it’s having certified installers the day you open.»
